Blues or Cardinals; regardless of where they play,
Memphis or Chicago; regardless of how far away.

Salsa or Bachata; regardless of who I dance with,
Smile or Sorrow; regardless of who I share with.

Movie or Magic; regardless of what it is,
Brown or White; regardless of who it is.

Gym or Yoga; regardless of what I do,
Run or Walk; regardless of where I do.

Hockey or Therapy; regardless of what type it is,
Dine-in or Dine-out; regardless of how good it is.

English Poem 28: My New Routine

Loneliness had become a tasteless pill to swallow lately,
Even though I am surrounded with people mostly,
Whispers of your name is what I am hearing constantly,
While flashes of our memories playing in my head repeatedly,
Sleepless nights are what I am dealing with daily,
Wishing every morning, time would heal this pain slyly,
Realizing there is life beyond you and me slowly,
Keeping myself busy by venting my thoughts regularly,
Hoping you would somehow hear them one day secretly.

English Poem 27: Honesty And Selfishness

My heart is broken,
Broken into countless pieces,
Pieces that I had hoped to put together, (someday)
Together, we have traveled this far,
Far into the future I wanted to see with realism and honesty,
Honesty is what had prevented me from being selfish,
Selfish had I been with you,
You and I would have been still existed today.

Best you can do is to focus on your life,
Whatever it might be.

I wanna cry till I forget you,
Hope it is not too late to say, I am deeply sorry to pass on you,
I do know it is impossible to find someone like you,
I'll cherish every second I shared with you,
Though, I can't comprehend that I am not with you,
As much as it hurts to admit, I can only wish the best for you,
Honesty is what I wanted to display at you,
Deep in my heart, I still love you.

English Poem 24: Sun Must Set In Hills

Sun must set, for the moon to shine,
I must step aside, for her life to be fine.

Fish must have water, to survive,
I must stay positive, to revive.

Loss, is someone else's gain,
Experience, must not go in vain.

One must go through darkness, before waking up to sun light,
Likewise, I must go through this before finding someone just right.

English Poem 23: This Too Shall Pass

Sorrow was what my heart quickly filled with,
It was me who initiated this ordeal to begin with,
Hoping not put you through a difficult situation to deal with,
Soul searching is what I have to live with.

Wish we had more fights than we actually did,
Wish we never loved each other like we did,
Wish we had more time together than we actually did,
Wish we never broke up like we did.

It is time for me to stop dwelling on the past,
Now that I know our relationship is not meant to last,
I must now move on fast,
Though, I am somewhat limited to being with someone in my caste.

I often said to her, life is a roller-coaster,
But my life now feels like bread inside a burning toaster,
I wanna cry loud like a losing rooster,
Until I erase her picture in my heart as a poster.

I often said to her, everything happens for a reason,
I wish I knew that reason now,
Giving a break to my pounding heart,
Leaving some tears for my future sweet heart.

I often said to her, stay positive,
Which, I have done all through my life until this point,
But now, life seems to be so hard,
Harder than I could ever imagine.

I often said to her, stick with your decisions,
This time around, it was my turn to listen to her,
Only to realize that she is not in my life anymore,
Leaving me all alone in a desert full of thoughts.

Lost her,
Lost her for good,
Glimmer of hope has soon gone,
Pounding is what I am feeling in my heart now.

Searching for my soul has yet another blow,
Her memories are what I have to live with now.

Accepting reality is my new challenge,
Looking for positivity where ever I could find.

Leaving my life in shambles,
Making a lasting impression in rest of my life.
