English Poem 16: Reflections

New Year is around the corner,

It is not too late to put the pan on a hot burner,

To make you a delicious dinner,

I’d first attempt to reflect on our past before it gets any dimmer.

It took only a glance to fall for you,

Stumbled a few times before I said ‘Hi’ to you,

It was an amazing feeling to stand by you,

I was very happy to have a chance to travel with you.

Through rain and shine,

You were with me every time,

So much I had to gain,

Sorry to put you through this pain.

Never had to look for comfort,

Since it was always there in my sight,

Never had to quest for happiness,

Since it was readily available in 20 minutes.

Care and respect,

Only things I could find in you when I inspect,

Time can only unfold our future prospect,

Until then we should continue to introspect.

We had ups and downs,

Like mountainous towns,

Yet it was a joyous ride,

Because I had you on my side.

We have memories more than our brains can handle,

One of them was our dinner with a candle,

Wish I could put everything in a bundle,

So I could carry everywhere I go like a scandal.

Things may not have gone as we planned,

Hope you will find a gig where you don’t have to stand,

Very few times you got me bored,

But I’ll cherish every second we shared.

English Poem 15: I Still Feel Young

I still feel young,
Younger than yesterday,
Let people think what they may,
I still feel young,
Younger than yesterday.

Might I have grown an inch,
Might I have gained some wisdom,
Might I have made more mistakes,
Might I have forced a change,
Might I have suffered a blow,
Might I have yet to experience the life,
Might such incidents occur again.

This time though,
The difference is within,
Within is the feeling I strongly sense,
Yes, that is the feeling of growing younger,
Younger than ever before.

English Poem 14: What Makes You, You?

Sometimes you wonder, what makes you, "YOU"?
Is that the work you do at your job,
Or, is it the people around you,
Or, is it the money you make,
Or, is it the ostentatious display of your wealth,
Or, is it the character you carry everywhere you go,
Or, is it the perception you have on things,
Or, is it the attitude towards life,
Or, is it the passion that you share,
What is it??
What is so unique about you??
The answer to this astounding question is,
Everything about you makes you "UNIQUE".

There is absolutely no one that can replace you,
There is no one who is exactly the same as you,
You're unique in every possible way,
So drawing a comparison between you and someone else can only create confusion,
And, leave you with questions that have never ending answers,
Realizing that you're unique is not as frivolous as you think it is,
It is far more important than anything else,
It will make you stronger like never before,
It will make you realize that it is you, who is trying to create history for the generations to come.

English Poem 13: Life Is A Journey

Life is a journey,
A journey that will eventually end,
Everything in between is a myth,
A myth that will bounce you around at times,
Yet, it gives you an opportunity to choose between good and bad,
Right and wrong,
It gives you hope,
It makes you strong.

It is up to you to ride this journey,
Or, walk away with no responsibility,
It is up to you to make the best out of it,
Or, to become a pessimist about it,
It is up to you to enjoy the journey,
Or, to keep complaining about everything that goes on,
It is up to you to make a difference while you can,
Or, to continue living in a vicious circle,
It is up to you to decide,
A decision that you always wanted to make.

What you leave behind is far more important than what you own today.

English Poem 12: Let It Be

On a gloomy day,
when the sun is about to set,
Clouds are moving together, slowly and collectively,
While I am sitting outside in a patio,
Figuring out my life,
Maybe the best thing happened today so far.
I know this is just the beginning,
Better things await later tonight,

Enjoy the weather while it lasts,
Write your mind out,
Make it simple, yet elegant,
Try not to think too much,
Let your mind do the work, not so much what you see with your eyes.

Let the mind be the ink,
Give it a life,
Let it flow,
Let it enjoy,
And, finally set it free,

It'll find you a way,
A way that will eventually become a way of your life,
Don't be so serious,
Lighten up my friend,
After all, you never know what will happen tomorrow,
Be little adventurous,
Be the one that you wanna see in others,
Let it be my friend,
Let it be.

సమయం , ఆలోచన , డబ్బు,
ఏదీ  నిలవదు,
జీవితంలో ఏదీ నీది కాదు,
దేనినీ నువ్వు శాశించలేవు, ఒక్కటి తప్పితే,
ఆ ఒక్కటే నీకు అండగా నిలిచేది, జీవితాంతం ఉండేది,

మైమరపించే అందం ఎదురైతే మనసుకి మత్తు సహజం,
చిరునవ్వులు చిందించే ఆ చిన్నారి చిలిపి పలుకులు అమృతం,
ఆ మగువ కళ్ళు చాలు మానవుని మనుగడకు,
మనసు నిలువకుండా ఉండగలనా మరుమారు కలిసేవరకు,
నయనాలు చిన్నబోవువేమో నిలువకు ఆమె రాక,
మనసు ఉప్పొంగుతుంది కడాలిలా ప్రతి సారి ఆమెను తలచ,
ఎప్పుడా అని ఎదురుచూచే ఈ జ్ఞాని, అజ్ఞాని అవునో,
అందని ద్రాక్షవలె, అందునా ఇందునా కదలాడే,
నోరు మూగబోయే,
మనసు చలించిపోయే,

Telugu Poem 4: "Ooo Chitti Kaavyam"

రోజుకి పలుమార్లు పలకరించే నా ప్రేయసికి తన్మయంతో రాసిన ఈ చిట్టి కావ్యం :- అక్టోబర్ 25, 2008.

నీ కోసం గడిపిన నిద్రలేని రాత్రులు ఎన్నో నా జీవితంలో,

ఎన్నేళ్ళైనా జీవించగలను ఆ నాటి స్మృతులతో,

అవి అనేకం, ఆనందమయం, అమాంతం అయోమయం,

లెక్కకు లేని గుర్తులు, 

కాలం అనే సునామిని చేధిస్తూ,

పదిలంగా  ఉంచాను ఆనాటి మధుర క్షణాలు,

ప్రతి క్షణం మధురం, ఆస్వాదిస్తా నా తుదివరకు,

నిన్నేనా అని తపించే ఆ అమృత ఘడియాలు,

గడచి పలు కాలాలు,

అయినా అవి మిక్కిలి పదిలం, ఆద్యంతం మధురానిభూతమ్,

గడిపాను ఘడియాలు నిమిషాలుగా , 

వేచేసాను నీ రాక కోసం నిద్రించే నయనాలతో,

పులకరించెను నా మనసు నీ రాకతో,

మరచితిని పడిన ఆవేదన, స్వచ్చమైన నీ చూపుతో,

అగ్గిగా ఉన్న వాడిని ఇట్టే మార్చావు నీ స్పర్శతో,

ఆ అగ్గి నుంచి ప్రేమని పుట్టిచ్చావ్ , అది చాలు ఈ రేయికి,

ఎన్నైనా చాలవు ఆ తీపి జ్ఞాపకాలు,

ఆరాటం ఆవేసమయం, తీరే వరకు కాదు మనసు ప్రశాంతం,

అలాంటి వాటిలో ఇది ఓ మచ్చుతునక,

ఆశించి, శాసించి, చివరికి ఒప్పించగాలిగాను ఓ మారు,

అడిగితిని అలిసే వరకు అయినా కలిగెను ఫలితం శూన్యం,

ఆమె నిట్టూర్పు అసాధారణం, నా సంకల్పం అసామాన్యం,

మౌనం కలిపెను మనసులు, ఇట్టే తెలిపెను తన అంగీకారం,

నా మనసు ఉప్పొంగెను పలుమార్లు, అది అమాంతం దాటెను ఖండ ఖండాలు,

మల్లెపువ్వు లాంటి స్వచమైన తన మనసుతో, ఆకర్శించెను ఈ కఠిన మూర్ఖుని,

మార్పు సహజం, నా మార్పుకు కేంద్రబింబం నివ్వే ఓ మధుమతి,

చేసావు నన్ను ఒక మనిషిని, ఎప్పటికైనా మరువజాలను నీ తీపి కలయిక,

గవ్వలో దాచి ఉంచుతా ప్రతి క్షణం, గుర్తుగా ఉండేలా కలకాలం,

తలవని క్షణాలు తక్కువ, కానీ, గడిపాను వాటిని యుగాలుగా,

నీ ఆకారం మరువక కష్టం, నిను మారుమారు చూసేవరకు,

భరిస్తాను ఈ కష్టం మిక్కిలి ఇష్టంతో........సతీష్

మనసు ఒక చోట,
ప్రాణం ఒక చోట,
మరువలేను నీ తియ్యని మాట,
పాడవా నాకోసం ఒక పాట,
నీ పేరు తలుసుకుంటే ఇట్టే పొంగుతుంది నా హృదయం,
మరువలేను నీతో గడిపిన ప్రతి క్షణం,
మన ఈ ప్రయాణానికి కాలమే చెప్పాలి ఒక తియ్యని సమాధానం.

నీ కోపం ప్రళయం,
ఇట్టే కనుమరుగైపోతుంది నీ చిలిపితనం,
ఆలోచన సన్నగిల్లుతుంది నీ ప్రతి నోటి మాటన,
ద్వేషంకి మొలక పడుతుంది కన్ను చాటున,
మస్తిష్కం ప్రతిబ్రమిస్తుంది చెడు మాటలతో,
తియ్యని మాట తలంపుగా వినిపిస్తుంది,
రెప్ప పాటులో 'ప్రేమ' అనే మాట కాంతి వేగంతో దూరమైపోతుంది,
సహజంగా చేలించే మనసు రాతిలా రూపు మారుతుంది,
గుండె చప్పుడు శంఖంలా ప్రతిధ్వనిస్తుంది,

ఓయ్ స్రవంతి

నువ్వు నా బంతి,

నీతో తెచ్చావ్ నా జీవితంలో కాంతి,

నీతో గడిపిన ప్రతి క్షణం ఒక మధురాని భూతి,

మరువలేను మన పరిచయం ఏనాటికి,

ఆగలేను నీతో జీవితం పంచుకోవటానికి,

పట్టొచు ఒక యుగం నీ మనసు మాట తెలియటానికి,

ఎన్నాళ్ళైనా వేచేస్తాను ఆ తియ్యని పలుకకి,

కాలమే జవాబు మన ఈ ప్రయాణానికి,

అప్పటి వరకు నీ పేరు నా హృదయంలో పదిలం.

English Poem 11: Blue Eyed Angel

There is a blue eyed Angel who looks a lot like a gorgeous Cardinal on a beautiful Sunday,
Just because I had spent couple of years in Texas,
You would be wrong if you thought I was a die-hard Ranger,
Perhaps, at one point I was considering becoming an Astro,
Glad I passed on that crazy thought,
Then comes the windy  city where I was surrounded by the Cubs chanting,
Black framed White Sox followers,
I held strong not to get submerged in that craziness only to get closer the baseball powerhouse,
You know what I am talking about,
The Great Phillies,
My passion for them rubbed on me quickly,
Helping diminish the chances of me becoming a Yankee fan,
Forget about the Mets, I didn't even know they existed,
Nationals, Braves, or the less fortunated Marlins were not even on my radar,
Needless to mention, I never cared how good or bad Rays, Orioles, or the BlueJays were,
Following Canadians play baseball,
Heck, no
My funny co-worker who always wore a Boston hat made me somewhat appreciate the RedSox,
Phillies lost in the finals,
Then NFL became my sport for next two years,
Until I moved to another baseball-centric nation,
Who has a long rivalry with Pirates
And, it was about the time you and I started going out,
Watching a playoff game against Brewers was of the fun things we did together,
Around the same time Tigers beat the most hated team in baseball, gaining some lost ground,
That game 6 win against the Rangers cut the distance down between me and the city,
Not to mention the game 7 extravaganza,
A perfect finale for a team that displayed lot of character,
drawing a curtain for 2012 season,
In the end, my favorites of that season were Tigers, Phillies, and the team that stood tall in the end, and the blue eyes angel.
Here comes the next season,
Started off amazingly spectacular for the the likes of Giants, Dodgers,  Indians, and the nearby Royals,
As the season went along D's, A's, Padres along with the Twins, and Rockies headed downhill,
Making room for Mariners to shine in couple of games,
Season is already halfway reminiscing the scary moments of the previous season,
Here comes a team who is Red hot at the moment,
Whose future looks as promising as the Curiosity rover,
Making a headway to the postseason,
Only to continue my love towards the team who is battling wild for a playoff spot,
And, only to continue my love towards the team that you love the most,
The St Louis Cardinals
A team that I never thought I would love watching with a blue eyed angel,
Oh, did I mention that the blue eyed angel I was referring to the whole time is YOU?

Enlgish Poem 10: Please...Never Stop Smiling

Never realized one could have such a dazzling smile,
Never thought a smile could bring tears,
Never saw someone standing tall with a wide-smile,
Never found joy in someone else's smile,
Never believed a smile could change my world,
Never thought I could smile zillion times a day,
Never knew one could answer a question with a charming smile spread across the face,
Never seemed easy to make someone genuinely smile,
Never beaten up by a serious smile,
Never guessed a smile could win an argument,
Never thought a smile could influence my decisions,
Never smiled so much in my life,
You made everything possible,
Please, never stop smiling.

English Poem 9: The Night I Met You

I still remember the night,

The night that I wasn't at my best,

I didn't think I would make it,

Had to force myself out of it,

Hours of contemplation now seems well worth the valuable time,

Goodness, I finally made up my mind,

To embark on a journey that would eventually change my life,

That would later become the best thing happened to me in the whole year,

In a world filled with plethora of choices,

A sparklingly shiny star from a striking distance,

Seemed to have gravitation higher than the earth,

Pulled me close,

Close enough to feel the sensation I never felt before,

Sensation I can't put in words till this day,

Soon made me stumble for words,

Again and again,

But eventually found a way out of it,

Only to realize that I found someone with impeccable charm,

Undisputed honesty, 

Pacifying smile,

Deserving a lasting place in my heart,

Making everyday special,

Even when we are quite afar.

English Poem 8: Alone

Why did you leave me here alone?

I miss hearing your soothing tone,

You might say we have been talking on the phone,

That doesn't quite create chill in my jaw-bone,

Sometimes distance brings people closer than ever before,

But living it ain't easy as having an ice cream cone.

English Poem 7: It's About Time

It's about time to stop thinking too much and start observing your actions,

it's about time to control your emotions and start being realistic,

it's about time to re-learn what you have learned,

it's about time to recollect your roots,

it's about time to smile more,

it's about time to stop being a short-term thinker and start maing a long-term investment,

it's about time to free up yourself from the unnecessary things that clogged up your mind,

it's about time to offer life to your ideas,

it's about time to take more risks,

it's about time to motivate yourself like you used in good old days,

it's about time to work hard again,

it's about time to identify the flaws,

it's about time to go back to the drawing board and start fresh,

it is indeed time to shift the focus to learning something new and improve your knowledge,

After all, knowledge is power.

English Poem 6: Be Yourself

Listen to your heart deep and close,

To let your imagination loose,

Feel the silence and tremendous vacuum,

To let yourself carefree,

From the depths on extremely convoluted thoughts,

Generate a magnanimously shiny spark,

That would separate you from the rest of eternal life,

That would make all worries seem futile,

Over and over and over again,

When you are close to being your breath taken away,

Listen to your heart,

Slowly, yet carefully,

Only to realize your true self,

One that you always wanted to chase,

Stay close,

Savour the moment,

Repeatedly, until you make a bridge,

Between your heart and mind,

It's time to release the immense pressure,

It's time to find who you really are,

To finally connect every dot in your imagination,

Be in present,

To be yourself.

English Poem 5: It's Been A Month

Hey girl,

Can you believe it's been a month,

A month full of excitement and thrill,

It was much needed from my day-to-day drill,

it was nothing different than climbing up a steep hill,

Every time I see you my words start to run like a rice mill,

Several times I say "chill",

Before it is back to its normal grill,

Surprises are like my wake-up pill,

Worked very well so far without a big bill,

I like to follow my own will,

That doesn't mean I will completely set-aside your PT skill,

I am always open to receive your timely feedback Jill,

Blues game will be remembered as a special event along with the incredible shrill (of music),

I hope to share more experiences with you until you think it is time to kill,

My heart is empty right now, can you fill?

English Poem 4: Journey

First time I saw you, I went insane,

Moments after I was thirsty like a hungry crane,

Three days later you touched my heart membrane,

It never slowed down since then,

Surprise visit turned out fun,

I enjoy dancing with you hun,

I'd love to have you in my marathon run,

I am glad our journey has begun.

English Poem 3: Alright Alright Alright

Alright alright alright,
When you are with me, I don't need the sunlight,
Your smile is shinier than the moonlight,
I wanna hold your hand up-tight,
Until I see the bright sun light,
I hope we will never get into a fight,
I know this is hard to get it right,
One of the things I like is your height,
That's it for tonight,

English Poem 2: Never have I...

Never have I liked someone so quickly,
Never have I lost someone for no reason,
Never have I realized conversations meant nothing,
Never have I tried so much for someone,
Never have I imagined myself riding a bike on a sunny day,
Never have I remember every question I asked,
Never have I felt so confident of becoming friends,
Never have I doubted the famout quote; "you meet everyone for a reason",
Never have I experienced parabolic curve of emotions,
Never have I showcased my story to a stranger,
Never have I said that someone stranger is YOU.

English Poem 1: 10 Is The Number For Today

10 is the number for today,

I know it is not your birthday,

but it has some significance that you and I care about,

To make me happy this reason is suffice,

Jump in the air with joy and loudly say YAYYYY,

Hope this journey takes us to a number that is hard to remember,

Never realized one could have such a smile till I met this beauty with a wonderful style,

People say, time flies like crazy,

Never believed in it until I found myself dizzy,

Life is too short so let's stop getting into a fight,

Had so many nights without light,

But your acquaintance sparkled my every night with a bright light,

First time I met you it was 9 at night,

That's when I started going out every night,

And, I wouldn't be home until I saw the sun light,

Can't think of the best moment that I had, 

Coz everything we had was the best I had,

Maybe one day we will become one,
